Sherry Cothran continues to dazzle us with fresh songcraft and sophisticated chops. The ten tracks on this solo CD firmly place Cothran on a short list of important emerging artists.
Writing for Music Row, noted music critic, author, and media personality Robert K. Oermann says, "Former Evinrudes lead vocalist Sherry Cothran is now a solo artist. And what an artist. Her layered, hypnotic, dazzling reworking of the 1965 Kinks oldie [Tired of Waiting For You] is stunningly gorgeous. This deserves to become a pop super-smash."
In describing her work with longtime music collaborator Brian Reed, Hi-Fi+ raves, "Beautifully played and sung with a truly great voice, these are songs and lyrics that actually deliver the impact and uncanny accuracy that smart weapons only dream about."
You'll find eclectic and passionate tracks to like here, served up with rich and inventive production by the four-time grammy-nominated team of producer Johnny Pierce and engineer Jim Emrich.
